On behalf of Esco, a world leader in the development of laboratory, medical and pharmaceutical equipment solutions, Relay was involved in making regular nationwide deliveries to labs in hospitals, private clinics and universities of consignments such as:

Relay provided a full scale delivery to point of use for UK consignments, which included de-strapping, unpacking and manoeuvring apparatus safely into position in the lab. The high value equipment, which was stored before delivery in Relay’s warehousing facilities, came fully assembled but our installation technicians were called on to build support stands.

There were also some deliveries to mainland Europe. Esco’s Operations Director Laura Jones explained that Relay conducted careful preparation and devised an installation plan in consultation with them which was then released to delivery crews.

“Relay is providing a much more efficient delivery service on reduced time scales than we experienced from our previous supplier,” she said.

“Relay has shown a high level of commitment and their training manager visited us and devised the delivery format before the transport and installation schedules began. He then accompanied their crew personally on the first delivery to ensure that everything went according to plan. Our equipment requires very careful handling and Relay has proved its people have the expertise, resources and dedication to service quality that we and our laboratory customers require.”
